My coworker from Nola made a King Cake and I found the baby!
A main character event if there ever was one! Everyone was congratulating me like I did something more than eat a piece of cake!

One of my colleagues brought King cake today and I got to try some for the first time. I have to say it tasted pretty good (I wanted to go back for more 💀).
She then told me about the plastic baby baked inside the cake, and that whoever finds it gets good luck.
I didn’t expect to be the one to find it haha. How cool is that! First time eating it and I get the baby. It really made me day hehe.
I looked it up and the little baby is called a fève.

i intern for the most wonderful people in the world, and they buy an entire cake whenever it’s someone’s birthday. they’re always decorated. i got a good laugh out of this brain dead cake for my boss. meetings are more fun when there’s cake involved

I absolutely love the community on this subreddit. I have mixed feelings about Reddit in general - but I do like the subreddits where most of the posts are text posts and this is true for r/yoga.
People will present an unhinged scenario (which is probably an exercise in creative writing and/or narcissism like most things on Reddit) where they are in a yoga class and the person next to them is wearing bells on their belt and they smell awful and are sweating so much there are puddle and doing jumping jacks and not following the instruction and loudly saying mantras. the op will then ask “what do I do?? Talk to the studio owner??” And ALL of the commenters just go “in the spirit of yoga, you have to drown it out and focus on your breath ✌🏻🍃” or literally post an old proverb. And then the op just agrees and goes on their way.
It’s reminds me of old forum posting and I love the energy.

I love chopping fruit up and making the ultimate snack: fruit salad. It makes me feel like a sim in Sims 4 and my cooking skill is increasing.
