we become impatient when we are too focused on our desires/goals/plans, and escaping the present because we want to rush our timing.
patience is Acceptance + Trust ~
Patience does not mean waiting, it’s being in an active state of continuous welcoming. It’s being accepting of time/life’s rhythms & seasons. It’s being open and present, even if the present moment isn’t yielding results.
sometimes stagnancy is what we need in order to cultivate the growth process !

i'd say, to being content in the moment, this existence is all too frail to constantly be wishing you were somewhere else or the circumstances were different. it might sound easier said than done but the cycle of 'wanting' is never ending. when you're somewhere else you'll be wishing for different things and never fully enjoy/be where you are. i think you can consciously push for certain things to change, and they will, but there's certainly a reason you are where you are right now

Social media can encourage us to constantly seek out the novel and makes us feel like we're missing out if we don't.
It's much better for peace of mind, in my opinion, if we let go of the immediate, and use impermanence as our filter for information.
