I use em as a grown up version of those outfit flip book thingies :) I have widgets set up from my style, hair, & makeup boards + one for Vibes that change every hour so if I’m looking for a randomized burst of inspiration I can just check what new combination has arisen instead of sinking hours of scrolling!

no interaction with others. i’m creating an endlessly populating vibe. it‘s the karmic ideal: you get out exactly what you put into it.
it has record of my tastes from as early as 2010. i can pore over it like a map of my aesthetic pleasure, see trends change, watch nostalgic reiterations of the past get their second lap.
i can see where i was feeling hope, my gym phases and the instructional videos from when i had a stripper pole in my apartment, various manic episodes diving into an entirely new hobby (cooking, yoga, journaling, sewing, vibe curation for a novel, DND characters, witchcraft), the tattoos i thought were cool when i was sixteen, and ideas for painting coolers for frat boys in college.

i make one in canva every couple of months when i am feeling a new mood and vibe... it helps me orient myself towards what attracts me and stay in tune w myself and my style and vision. i incorporate lots of different types of images but they are always whats rly inspiring me in the moment. i recommend bc after some time u end up w an accumulation of mood boards from different stages of ur life and u can go back and trace patterns & better discover ur taste. each one is like a little time capsule!

as much as you can - allow yourself to feel the pain. don’t judge yourself for however you’re feeling. keep busy and devote time to yourself but forgive if sometimes you still gotta stay in and sob. build up a beautiful life while grieving at the same time - and eventually you will realize you’re now as fully engaged with joy, pleasure, & passion as you once were with heartbreak !!!

international women’s day this year was for solidarity with women in gaza, & with all palestinians. it’s not too late to start educating yourself, showing up to protests, joining orgs, looking into direct action! also would recommend lewis’ ‘abolish the family’ on a different but related note
