Logging your stoned moonshots is fun but sometimes difficult to manage via iPhone. I love the notes app, but you’ve got to type. Like, I’m typing this right now, but, honestly? I’d rather be dictating. Plus, it’s like that scene in slackers with the old dude walking around with a tape recorder. If that’s not your retirement goal what is wrong with you? Season with herbs. 🫶

At a certain age, a good percentage of your self-worth comes from finishing stuff. I know we’re supposed to stop being hard on ourselves, but that’s sort of unrealistic, so might as well be efficient. Using iPhone Notes is ok for drafting stuff, but not as a to-do list. For paper lists I use the Action Method notebooks that Ghostly distributes. I have very very bad handwriting though so I've probably used 10 different apps over the years. I’ve found that I don’t really need features and folders. So this is dumb simple, and something about the action and sounds it makes it fun to add to. BUT, buyer beware, this app seems to be phased out by the developer, so play at your own risk.

That way you aren’t relying on any platform that might change or disappear. I use Apple’s Journal app on my phone, but I maybe just talked myself out of it lol

its addressed to me and this is definitely much less practical than using notes and i dont know why i do it but if you decide to embark on this please note: - have imessage in your dock - pin your own conversation in the app at the top, or whoever you want to potentially accidentally send this list to

This documentary on the book maker Gerhard Steidl is really satisfying if you are into design, photography, books or “analog instead of digital.” It’s both a character study and a look at publishing photobooks. It’s really inspirational. I’m not sure where you might find it, but there’s a pirate version on YouTube as of this moment.

There are far too many songs with blue in the title, that I love, to list here, but Leonard Cohen’s Famous Blue Raincoat is at the top.
