this show is the smoothest-brained shit I have ever seen in my life but I have been savoring every single episode since I started watching last year. it's for the times when u just need absolute 0 substance, 0 emotions, just the simple work of clearing out and organizing items into rainbow coded rows and clear plastic bins marked with 2014 betchy cursive font.
Clea and Joanna are not an oz of cool in the slightest but yes I have fallen in love w their kooky kind of toxic friendship.... and I did just shed a tear at the season 1 finale

Something about HGTV, especially the show Fixer Upper (with Chip and Joanna Gaines) soothe my soul lol! There's something so incredibly satisfying about watching people take a dilapidated, unlivable house and turning it into a cozy palace. I mean I definitely don't agree with all of their design choices but that show is really comforting to me. I watched every season on netflix so now my life is meaningless.

if i had a comfort sitcom, this would be it :,) sadly it only has two short seasons, so i've seen every episode at least 10 times. (if you're going to watch it, make sure to look up the right episode order because it aired out of order.)
when i'm at a loss for what i want to watch, i put it on. somehow despite having seen it a bajillion times, the gags still land. there's also something so inherently 2000s about it with its slightly outdated jokes and energy that i find charming. it's the same way i feel about 2 broke girls. it's just fun hjinks with people who are kind of messed up!!!

I wonder if there's a word for that feeling of warmth and peace that comes over you when you put on a show that effortlessly grabs and releases your attention. always resolving and ending and beginning again. The cycle and pattern of it all is satisfying to me. It feels too mundane to highlight but these are a few of my constants that im grateful for: - murder she wrote - columbo - kitchen nightmares

i love that our seemingly high-tech phones still cannot do the job of capturing the moon‘s ethereal essence. it’s so humbling and vulnerable to attempt to take a photo of her and have it come out all ugly and orb-like. it’s literally none of ur business to see what she looks like anytime apart from the present moment!
(and please don’t tell me if samsung or google pixel have invented technology to do a better job of this. it wouldn’t sit right with me… like trying to sneakily undress a woman without her consent when she has explicitly stated she’d rather remain demurely clothed and mysterious)
