It’s just like setting a motion alarm clock but the penalty is $65. Depending on how early the street sweeping is. Where I live it’s 8am and I really enjoy the morning walk to find my car, and listening to music while I drive around still 1/8 asleep looking for a new spot. I feel like I’m leading a horse through misty fields at the break of day.
I had a nannying job where the family had rented a villa by the sea one year and I drove out there blasting oldies on my car radio. The weather was spectacular and I found a beautiful oval mirror at a charity shop. On the way back I got a speeding fine that was almost exactly the amount I was paid that weekend. Ouch. Still feels great to get in the car and go to the sea.
Even the cheapest one. There's a $4 carwash near my house and I love randomly deciding to cruise through that sucker. It feels like a little treat and is also good for my car! Incredible.
At LAX they sell them in the terminal to match your airline (in some cases) and if you feel like treating yourself then you can take it on your flight and hold it during take off and it will probably keep you safe.
