took me around both times I’ve been seconding glyptoteket museum! the atrium is amazing the canal tour boats off of nyhavn— one of my aunts went every chance she got to take tourist friends and relatives if you’re there in summer get ice cream, i was so obsessed as a kid with their toppings i took a bike ride from one of the cph suburbs to a beach in vedbæk, it was absolutely gorgeous wish I remembered more but it was a while ago!

went to a few smaller shows at loppen in christiania, probably my favorite venue i got to see. they host a good variety of people and genres but i was really happy to catch a lot of great local artists!! also check out alice (@alice_nbro on ig), more amazing variety and they’ve done shows with some of my favorite musicians ever. there are other good venues but those are the two i’d recommend most. i’m always saying some of the best music right now is coming out of denmark and i stand by that! also, i went to study urban planning and saw a lot of crazy funky architecture i’d recommend checking out if you’re interested. copenhill is nuts and worth going to just to walk up/look at it. also østergro, i didn’t eat there but did get a little tour, really awesome rooftop farm! making my sister go back with me to all of these stops this summer lol cannot wait

Louisiana art museum - great reco from someone else on here. Modern art not your thing? Walk around the beautiful ground. Ny carlsberg glyptotek - the building is a work of art in itself. Tivoli - didn't go on any rides, just enjoyed the gardens. Good food hall next door. Rosenberg castle - v pretty, wish I got to explore the gardens. National museum - I have never seen so much gold in my life. Broens street food - I walked by when it was closed but looked like a cool place to grab a bite and hang out by the water.

- DO NOT MISS the Louisiana Museum. I loved it and I don’t care that much about museums. Beautiful grounds and iconic exhibits!!! - Explore the shops in Nørrebro (if you don’t like kitschy/artsy shopping then maybe not) - See link for my biggest rec!! Community dinner in a converted church, random seating to meet locals, cheap price tag!!!!
