Obviously the single is a classic but the album is also a great listen! It’s my first full listen (all ive listened to today bc of nardwaur’s clairo interview) but so far my preference is with the latter tracks, especially fond of How Can You Mend a Broken Heart though. Kinda fits the overall gloom that is over LA rn, will be taking a stroll and introspecting/listening again once i clock out

yes, we all recognize “somebody that I used to know,” but not enough appreciation is given to this wonderful gem that sounds like you’re crying whilst riding a camel and wistfully smoking a ciggie. so much is going on in this song and it’s powerful from both an emotional and compositional standpoint. the lyrics “love ain’t safe, you won’t get hurt if you stay chaste” are so beautifully painful and I deeply appreciate music that can completely tear me apart with such eloquence.
