great thing about this app

i see really cool/ funny/ smart people and 90% of the time they just follow me back straight away. it’s one of the joys of not having a big following — you can make more friends with strangers! i think the art of that is lost with influencer culture, because why would you follow a ‘fan’ back straight away (particularly when you have 50k plus of them?) also i’m a ‘rising user’ after posting like 6 times which gives me a huge ego boost. Small App is IN 🙌🙌

Because why not it doesn’t matter how many people you follow and when the things u like become cool then people will see that u followed them a long time ago bc u are cool

Instagram posting things i like

My followers know who I am and what I look like. The things I enjoy and people I spend time with are what make me an interesting person. Curate your feed with random things that you enjoy, interspersed with photos of yourself, just in case the people do forget what you look like. Make Instagram casual again, be a content curator above a content creator I guess.

know yourself and know things outside of fashion/style/clothing

Know yourself well enough to say no to trends, “good” thrift store finds, cheap construction, the list could go on and on. Over consumption makes it so much more confusing. Be picky asf, know you, & know your vibe. Obviously we’re always changing and you’ll never really know if you’ll like something you just bought in the future. What’s stayed with me the longest has been helpful with identifying what is personal to me. Who I find the most inspirational with the way they dress are people who have interests outside of just clothing and aesthetics. You are what you consume!
