My dad always invites me to his fave rock bands’ concerts that happen to be in town, and honestly i know so few of them but I always say yes. sometimes I brush up on the discography but more often than not I just kinda raw dog the experience. Like tonight, we saw IQ and wow, the guitarist was actually ablaze he was so good.

If you're feeling uneasy about going to a show alone, invite a friend you haven't seen in awhile. They might not be able to make it, but if they do, you'll find some time before or after to reconnect and I'm sure they'll appreciate that you thought of them. I've done this a couple times in the last few years and it's been great

8 out of 10 shows I got to, I go for the whole thing BUT once in a while its refreshing to see who you want to see. Makes it a lot less of a whole night affair and it’s nice to cook a dinner or get drinks with a friend before
