Sainte Chapelle: the pinnacle of gothic architecture. Totally beautiful building and usually not too crowded Chez Janou: delicious mussels, a short walk from the Place des Vosges which is a great place to sit and linger Le Verre Vole: lovely spot for dinner right by the canal st Martin. If you have to wait for a table go sit along the canal with a bottle of wine. Cool neighborhood to wander around in. If youā€™re there in the morning, get the pistachio escargot pastry Des Pains Et Des Idees itā€™s amazing if youā€™re into design, Maison La Roche and/or Le Corbusierā€™s studio apartment were restored and opened to the public fairly recently. Just be prepared to climb 7 flights of stairs to the apartment Generally everywhere you go will be lovely; Paris is a great city. Allow yourself time to move slowly and not rush through things or feel like you have to see it all

Youā€™ll be there at such a nice time of year! I studied abroad there years ago so donā€™t have specific galleries or wine bars to suggest, but more broadly, here are some of my favorite off-the-beaten track neighborhoods: Belleville and Buttes-Chaumont, southern part of the 14th by Parc Montsouris, 17th into Neuilly, and just generally following branches of the canal. My favorite thing to do there is just walk 10-20 miles a day in quieter parts of town and just get a croissant/baguette/treat of choice wherever fancy strikes (with an extra plug for going to neighborhoods like Belleville where you can eat from different cuisines). I wonder if this is considered touristy at this point, but go see Angela at the Banh Mi shop by RĆ©publique (I think Rue Turbigo) for the best one Iā€™ve ever had. Ugh have so much fun and you truly canā€™t go wrong!

BOULANGERIES šŸ„ Victoire (9th arrondissement) and PĆ©pite (11th arrondissement) both have authentic pastries at good prices with outdoor seating to enjoy the sun. MUSEUMS šŸŖ½ (that arenā€™t the Louvre) Orangerie or Rodin!! I loved both. RANDOM šŸÆ Aristivas gallery in the 8th, ZXSBN6DD3VZBGSY thrift stores (complete store refresh every Friday), cycling next to Canal St Martin (or just sitting there!!) and going to Parc des Buttes-Chaumont!!

I just returned from Paris today! Was there for 5 days. Here are some places that are bangin. Du Pain et des IdĆ©es - great bakery. Went to the one on Rue Yves Toudic but there is another Au Passage restaurant - small plates, neighborhood vibe, just delicious everything La musĆ©e de la chasse et de la nature - bonkers taxidermy and curiosities museum themed around nature and hunting, in an interesting and not totally glorifying hunting kind of way. Stunning curation, interesting art and artifacts. Sainte Chappelle - if you can deal with the lines (buy a ticket in advance) this was very worth it to me. Thanx God Iā€™m a VIP - excellent thrift store. Menswear next door. La Forge restaurant in the 5th - another neighborhood place. Went a couple years ago and Iā€™m still thinking about the duck legs confit and pavlova.
