For Mexicans, the spirits of our dearly departed come back starting the 30th of October and ending the morning of the November 3rd, so we receive them with an altar filled with things they loved. Food, drinks, things related to activities, you name it. Of course marygolds, candles, papel picado, pan de muerto, and candy skulls are a must.
