hate to say it but it's the OG for a reason. expensive but I think worth it for a really fully featured builder that also lets you mess with CSS easily, and has a lot of portfolio management features specifically which is why i went for it

i built mine with squarespace :) i love the UI and how easy it is to see out a finished version that looks rly clean EDIT: ah i see u used the word ā€œaffordableā€, my faultā€¦ squarespace often had deals for the first year being like 50% off tho! still might be $100+ ah

for small brands. low entry barrier, easy to create animations and custom flows, integrated e-commerce experience, etc. kinda expensive though

linked my portfolio site as an example, if it looks iffy on mobile thatā€™s just me being rusty with CSS not the fault of the site. the building interface is really intuitive to use and has a lot of functions included in the free/lowest membership tier. I donā€™t pay for the tier to have the carrd(.)co taken out of my URL but that is an option. iā€™ve found it simpler to use than square space especially if youā€™re really just trying to have essentially a resume web page and donā€™t need sales platform integration or anything
