Therapeutically dry entertainment. Long episodes, pleasant scenery. Nice that it takes place in the 30s- underrepresented era on television. David Suchet is great.

IYKYK. Gimme a bag of pirates booty and LFG! David Suchet as Agatha Christieā€™s Hercule Poirot does nothing but solve mysteries and get fits off (since 1989 btw.)Ā  Iā€™ve watched the show my whole life, and the theme music still runs through my head whenever Iā€™m walking down the street.Ā  They did every Poirot novel (70 episodes) and you can stream it everywhere. Most episodes are 90 mins so plan accordingly.

being away from home so much for work makes you sort of crave comforting things, and I keep returning to old Agatha Christie TV shows like Ms. Marple and David Suchet's Poirot. I also love Agatha Christie herself, because was very much for the drama. Like, she pretended to disappear for 10 days because she was mad at her husband and then lied about it. good for you, girl!

Posting doesnā€™t necessarily reflect delusions of grandeur about oneā€™s influence. itā€™s a simple, communicative act. give yourself some credit, trust social instincts. If people had phones at any time in human history- theyā€™d be using them.

Ranking things out of three (no half stars, 0 permissible) is a valuable exercise. The limitations force one to reckon with the boundaries of language and the necessity of a respect for nuance. One out of three could be pretty bad..on the other hand, it's still pretty good.
