This is a zine my club made last year for Halloween. While we had the benefit of Canva, Procreate and an iPad, you can also make the entire thing on paper and then use a scanning app to copy it onto a pdf.
This zine is a perfect example of over complicating things. Really, zines are the most fun when you have one message to share. (informal: how to water a plant, funny: how to make a cat, your worst dream, etc.) Although it’s helpful, you don’t need to be good at art. All you need is a black pen/marker and an understanding of how to get your thoughts across in the best way possible.
As I mentioned, it only takes 6 panels aside from the cover and back. If you have an idea for each panel, wait no further. You‘re ready!
