a lot of it was focused on pacific northwest native american history, and some work from contemporary native artists. there was also some great impressionist paintings and sculptures, and some interactive modern art. it’s pretty small so it won’t take too long. and there‘s a coffee shop across the street who’s name i don’t remember but i remember it was good.

Great spot! If you’re in Philly, gotta go. it’s pay what you want every Friday 5-9pm and the first Sunday of every month. They have all kinds of art— sculpture and paintings and masonry and so many eras of paintings. My favorite sections are the shaker furniture, american glasswork, the japanese tea house, and the living rooms from the hoi polli of manhattan in the 1900’s.

both amazing are museums, very thoughtful and informative. NMAAHC is probably the best history museum i’ve been to. the numerous ways they’ve arranged the exhibitions (some by location, some by subtopic, some like a timeline) i haven’t seen before and they’ve curated so many artifacts and the amount of information provided in the descriptions is very thorough so you will definitely leave having learned a lot. i went once for a field trip and later returned to finish the upper floors. NMAI i went to for the first time this year, i didn’t have time to see it all but i did go through the whole exhibit on treaties and i learned so much that i didn’t learn in u.s. history classes growing up additionally, the art museums in DC are all really good

it’s the very least we can do. one of the few things america has gotten right is allowing us to protest the government and that’s exactly what we should be doing right now. there are multiple ways of protesting including going to marches, boycotting, addressing your representatives directly, and voting “uncommitted“ in the upcoming primaries to communicate to the democratic party that they are not acting in the people’s interests and that we will not support biden if he continues to fund this occupation and the deaths of tens of thousands of people. please do your part because you’d want people to do the same if it was you in this situation. i’ve linked a list of upcoming protests around the world. please use it. <3
