DC gets all the credit for their cherry blossoms but this big nice park in Newark has a bigger collection of them. Check them out!

πŸ’― echo the north woods of CP, Riverside, and Inwood- and also being near the water during summer mornings and evenings, whether that’s the lawns at Chelsea Piers or the south section of Domino Park; and then, both the Bronx and BK botanic gardens consistently re-charge me during the winter/spring flux time (especially given how huge the BX grounds are). Obvi paying to go isn’t ideal, but both have some good discounted or pay what you want options for NYers that are worth looking into! 🌳

i like prospect a lot coming from the west side but brooklyn bridge park is also sick

You can absolutely feel like you’re getting lost in the North Woods of Central Park. There are little hiking paths and streams, boulders, and fewer people than the touristy southern parts of the park. A nice bonus is when you come out on the northeastern side you can peer over Harlem Meer and likely see some ducks! Hon. mention to Riverside Park (seconding the person who said that), Inwood Hill Park, and Fort Tryon Park (and the Cloisters!)

Many people on here are saying this but I especially want to rec wearing them at the show. You will have a better time and still hear the great music I promise.

Super cute and earnest new zine out from Amsterdam about plants and gardening. Whole issue here about artichokes with art, history, and notes on how to grow it. I am an avid gardener and have some cool vintage gardening texts; super stoked this exists to add to the collection. Hopefully getting the issue on compost next time I'm over in NL
