Truly despicable movie making Harvey Keitel is just bouncing around getting fucked up the entire time doing the most reprehensible shit imaginable and it’s honestly incredible to watch He goes all the way (shows dick) which really makes a movie stick out to me because of the absurd rules surrounding it ratings wise I feel like I need to say content warning because it is really disturbing stuff going on in this but if you’re okay with that it is just a crazy fucked up thing to watch and I really enjoyed it (feels weird saying I enjoyed it because of how uncomfortable some if it is but as a whole movie it just works!)

the unflinching type of depravity you expect to see in 480p on effedupmovies.com, not in a chain theatre, yet made me want to be much kinder to myself watch if you like: cronenberg, troma, having physical reactions to art, being a gorgeous woman in a tiny glittery dress i also recommend fargeat’s other film revenge (2017) which is similarly gnarly.. one thing i love about her style is when her brain cooks up something uniquely gruesome she wants her audience to see every bit of it, not a single cut away in either movie

saw this film for the first time and i cannot stop thinking about it !! i felt embarrassed to be a man, it is kind of haunting to know almost all men are capable of carrying out such disgusting, animalistic impulses; i can still remember the adrenaline pulsing through my veins as i witnessed *those* scenes so much to say about this, i put off watching this movie for a long time but i really appreciated the film structure, it would not have worked the same way if structured chronologically

This movie left me so profoundly disturbed in a way few other pieces of media have. The premise—to film perpetrators of the mass murder of communists and other groups under the Suharto regime in Indonesia REENACTING their crimes years later (in classic Hollywood style)—at first seems too bizarre to work. The point of the film is that it was only ever going to work. ‘Inspiring’ is actually a good way to describe it: it compels you to look at yourself and your own heart of darkness, not passively but with naked honesty. And what’s chilling and shameful is how watchable it ultimately is. Like nothing I’ve ever seen or will see again.

Peaches, plums, nectarines, cherries, etc. It’s mind blowing that something so nice can be naturally occurring Just beautiful fruits (look at these plums) and just so delicious even when they’re not technically in season I could (and do) eat five peaches a day Also peach cobbler! Haven’t heard of it but need to try plum cobbler I feel like that’d be crazy

I got a humidifier at target cause it’s getting dry and that’s something I would typically overlook but for some reason I remembered the spongebob humidifier my parents used to always put in my room and I thought about how many things just for like comfort or health that I stopped doing that were just like everyday things my parents did when I was a kid

for the most part every movie I see, book I read, meal I eat, album I listen to, place I travel to is the greatest thing I’ve ever experienced (Maybe it just means I’m easy to please but I don’t mind because it leads to many enjoyable experiences!)
