The thrill of it all - it never gets old

Discovering new-to-me music and being inspired !  Watching a Terrence Malick film for the tenth time and still finding something new to marvel at.  Driving around LA and not hating it nearly as much as my fellow New Yorker’s told me I would.  Listening to two strangers discuss politics and gender fluidity as I tap my painted fingernails across my iPad - will either of them change their position at the end of the heated debate? Is Andre 3000 even possible?  Finding comfort in the fact that Solange genre hops with no apologies!  No need to talk, its not my thing.  So much art to make its dizzying — it will cure all evil !

when i could genuinely do anything or completely nothing with them and always enjoy the time we spend together

this is like my no1 thing tbh after physical attraction which is less quantifiable for me (and i’m going to keep it that way) yeah i just love when i can do stuff with someone or do nothing or just talk or sit in silence or whatever, that’s really hot and hard to find

Acquired tastes

for food, art, hobbies etc. ! i always derive more pleasure from music that might not be instantly accessible or from films that are not easily digestible, or novelty snacks that might taste weird at first! the best things in life are the ones that it takes time to understand

Stone fruits

Peaches, plums, nectarines, cherries, etc. It’s mind blowing that something so nice can be naturally occurring Just beautiful fruits (look at these plums) and just so delicious even when they’re not technically in season I could (and do) eat five peaches a day Also peach cobbler! Haven’t heard of it but need to try plum cobbler I feel like that’d be crazy

Doing things for yourself that your parents used to do when you were a kid

I got a humidifier at target cause it’s getting dry and that’s something I would typically overlook but for some reason I remembered the spongebob humidifier my parents used to always put in my room and I thought about how many things just for like comfort or health that I stopped doing that were just like everyday things my parents did when I was a kid

seriously a perfect movie It’s 90 min and is just the funniest movie you’ll ever see like every single scene is insanely funny Matthew Lillard Also there’s a scream from a guy who walks into a bathroom at one point that is incredible If you’re high you will literally laugh at every single line every character says Then watch more John waters (Cecil b. demented, hairspray, polyester and crybaby are the only others I’ve seen but they are all just so great)
