always great writing, huge genre range, and i always find a couple new artists I have yet to delve deep with.
I’ve fallen victim to mindlessly consuming my Spotify algorithm which means I’m pretty disconnected with most artists and albums. Music Baby gets me excited to dive into a full album & check out musicians in their entirety!

I’ve posted about it before but she shares the best music recs and I really love it. I also honestly tend to read the This Week at Baby’s, not so much to see who’s playing but also to get music recs. I’m subscribed to a couple recipe substacks but most of them are behind a paywall to see the actual recipe which irks me a bit but usually the picture is enough to strike inspiration

sometimes you gotta talk shit to process but often I think we talk too much shit…. At the end of the day we’re all human beings who are trying the best with what they’ve got. if someone is annoying you/acting mean/unkind it’s most likely all connected to a larger system that did not set them up for success. Instead of shit talking the rude waiter, celebrity drama, your friends annoying partner— let’s break down systems that are holding us all back!!!! or the systems that are probably holding that person back! Let’s give grace to humans and question the larger systems that generate more trauma and disconnect! that’s how we generate more love and compassion and move things forward
some of my favorite systems to talk about are:
•industrialized food and food accessibility
•consumerism/overconsumption (and the connection to social media & celebrity culture)
•hustle culture
•politics/2 party system
•cars/walkable cities/big oil
•big dairy
•Christianity

Fake that ego until it’s real. your inner voice is an insanely loving mother that only sees the good. it may feel silly at first… but you are as capable as anyone, so let yourself believe that you are! isn't that the first step in getting anything you want?
