"I hate white. It pretends to be pure, yet can be dyed any shade. It’s the most seductive color" whether it's the manga or the anime, both are excellent. josei by the creator of nana. yukari's in her senior year of high school, but she feels like she's missed out on life after spending most of hers dedicated to school. she stumbles upon a group of fashion students running the atelier Paradise Kiss, or ParaKiss, who take her off her path and bring her into the world of high fashion. artsy angsty young adult hijinks ensue. coming of age existential crisis type shit. every flavor of disaster queer. absolutely beautiful art. this show has meant everything to me since i was a younger and it only feels more resonant with me as i've grown older. whole thing's up on youtube, could not rec enough

I watched it when I was 14 and it was the coolest thing ever to me. Its about two young women who have the same name. One is in a punk band and wears a lot of Vivienne westwood, the other is naive and girly. they are best friends and also definitely in love with each other but men and life and stuff get in the way. this and Paradise Kiss are made by the same people and it was a revelation to find that Anime could be girly and cool and not just for teenage boys or kids which is what I had assumed as a teenage girl.

my taste in anime and manga is a bit all over the place, but if we’re like-minded, then you might just absolutely love these <3 this isn’t in any particular order 01. wonder egg priority β€” last three eps or so are rushed and the ending is kinda wonky but overall a good take of the magical girl genre 02. the ice guy and his cool female colleague β€” just a chill romance with some supernatural sprinkled in 03. bibliomania β€” obscure asf with no official english translation and the original japanese release was limited I believe 04. frieren: beyond journey’s end β€” favourite anime alongside flip flappers. a slice of life fantasy 05. apothecary diaries β€” fun mystery set in a fictional country inspired by imperial china 06. the summer hikaru died β€” a promising horror with implied queer characters. take what I said with a grain of salt since it’s been a while since I read it 07. kaguya-sama: love is war β€” hilarious romcom about rich high schoolers minus the protagonist 08. chainsaw man β€” a fever dream ngl, but a good one 09. uzumaki β€” classic horror. has some romance elements tbh 10. haikyuu β€”my original favourite sports anime ^^ it holds a special place in my heart 11. blue lock + episode nagi β€” my absolute fave sports manga rn even though I can’t take it seriously at times. kaiser’s my favourite red flag 12. girls’ last tour β€” end of the world slice of life. bittersweet 13. violet evergarden β€” fyi the relationship is weird, but I just choose to ignore it. aside from that, everything else is beautiful though) 14. flip flappers β€” so very underrated! the fandom is pretty much nonexistent. sci-fi magical girls) 15. good night punpun β€” definitely not for the faint of heart. depression incarnate and has many mature themes and triggering topics

or junk journaling, if you'd like to not perpetuate myths about crows liking to collect trinkets. i just think it sounds cuter weirdly, as someone who's a writer, i've never really been good at or liked journaling. every planner i've ever owned has remained empty. if i try to write something any time other than when the fancy strikes me, it just feels inauthentic, like i'm trying too hard. this has been the first time journaling actually felt like it had a purpose for me, and actually felt weirdly therapeutic basically, it's just anything i can recycle, i make into a page. i like a common theme, so places i've visited, media i like, similar aesthetics, emotions i'm feeling. and then we get the qr code page & i'm reminded that this is probably the quintessential depiction of what scoring 121 on the RAADS-R looks like eh, i'm having funπŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

in agreement with mouse nitw soup rema see also agree with them that definitely limbo or inside will scratch the little nightmares itch, arguably playdead's games are a big inspiration for little nightmares. depending on what you're into (more story or more gameplay heavy) for story. i cannot recommend "what remains of edith finch" enough. just a true gem and some of the best of interactive storytelling for gameplay i love the witness, hi fi rush, and neon white. all very different, but maybe you'll find something you'll like for a mix if both, disco elysium. dialogue HEAVY, but based in like ttrpg systems, it's really fun. REALLY long though, like maybe put aside some time to crack that one open lol
