I was strolling around the city 5 days ago when I fell upon this wonderfully scented perfume. It had notes of olive tree🫒and rose and a woody underlying theme. It is floral but not the typical kind of floral but rather a more mature floral scent resembling Rose 31 from le Labo. The best part is that is was not that expensive only 55CAD for the mini version(okay pretty expensive.)

Do you ever smell a certain scent and it reminds you of a person, time, or place? For example, when I smell pink sugar it reminds me of the middle school locker room after walking the mile. I love how a smell could be a bookmark in your life. So why not make it a beautiful scent that one day you will probably smell and think, “what was I thinking?” Recently I’ve been into this perfume by Andrea Maack that smells like harvested potatoes in Iceland. Another one from room 1015 with interesting notes of carrot seeds, jasmine, and musk. Lastly, my most recent purchase is from Villa Erbatium and smells like the inside of a refrigerated flower shop - cut stems, cool air, cellophane wrapping and all.

why not add an extra layer of chaos to your day by choosing a different perfume every morning to set your mood? eo1 by Ensar Oud is good for smelling like a freshly cured piece of leather that people have been smoking cigars aroound all day, perfect for collecting gambling debts, Yatagan by Caron smells like woods, celery and pollen, perfect for cosplaying as an old lumberjack while walking around the mini-Dubai of the Williamsburg waterfront, and pure Laotian Oud, out of the vial, smells like baby diarrhea in an old diaper but in a nice way, perfect for keeping your loved ones at arm’s distance

I know, I know, sandwiches might seem basic bring it up a notch by buying (or making in my case) 1- good ass bread like a good artisanal sourdough or foccacia, 2- Make a salad, don't just put lettuce, mix different greens together 3- Add pesto, buy it or make it, it's up to you 4- Good ass cheese, I'm talking a gooddd fresh mozzarella ball cut into slices 5- Protein of your choice. My go to is chicken cutlet but simple mortadella or prosciutto will get the job done 6- Whatever else you want, that's the fun of making sandwiches, no rule just vibes.

One thing I love to do when travelling or staying at a place for a longer period of time is to create a playlist specifically for that country/city. Last summer, I spent the whole of it (or almost) in NYC and I created this playlist at the beginning of the summer that I listened to all summer long and now every time I go back to listening to it, I get transported to my endless summer nights in the city. But beware, this only works for a number of times before the novelty wears off, so do it once every few months or so and you’ll be able to travel without any plane ticket! CHEERS.

I will actually be back in NYC in few weeks and im always open to meeting new people so cheers to that!
