Deathā€™s Door Cult of the Lamb Hades Night in the Woods Spiritfarer Sea of Stars The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood Hereā€™s a few of my favourite indie games, although now I look, none of them are particularly like Little Nightmares - perhaps something like Limbo or Inside would scratch that itch? If you let me know what genres you like I can be more specific šŸ˜Š

in agreement with mouse nitw soup rema see also agree with them that definitely limbo or inside will scratch the little nightmares itch, arguably playdead's games are a big inspiration for little nightmares. depending on what you're into (more story or more gameplay heavy) for story. i cannot recommend "what remains of edith finch" enough. just a true gem and some of the best of interactive storytelling for gameplay i love the witness, hi fi rush, and neon white. all very different, but maybe you'll find something you'll like for a mix if both, disco elysium. dialogue HEAVY, but based in like ttrpg systems, it's really fun. REALLY long though, like maybe put aside some time to crack that one open lol

THE COSMIC WHEEL SISTERHOOD!!!! - Iā€™ve recā€™d it before cause itā€™s so good, if you love a good story this is defo for you. Its so so gorgeous (pic below is from it). Youā€™re a witch whoā€™s been in exile for centuries, who summons a demon to help. Choose your own adventure style story game with elements of collage (you make your own oracle cards). Night in the woods - a weird lil walking sim story game that feels like a graphic novel. Existential and dark and mysterious. Wylde Flowers - a cosy witchy farming and story game. i find pure farming/management sims a bit boring but this has a linear storyline which kept me entertained. Spiritfarer - such a moving game unlike anything else Iā€™ve played since. You play as a psychopomp ferrying souls into the afterlife and carrying out their final wishes. Also if you wanted to get into more RPGs, I just finished Sea of Stars. Itā€™s an adventure RPG with gorgeous pixel art. Itā€™s made to have the nostalgia of old 90s RPGs, but youā€™d definitely be able to appreciate it without having played them. It has combat, but itā€™s turn based which might be easier for someone who isnā€™t as good at combat, and thereā€™s relics you pick up that you can activate to make the fighting easier. Turn based combat in general is probably the way to go if you wanna move into fighting games!

Immortality-more horror/mystery. you scrub through footage of a movie star and things get weird, fast. really unique storytelling, great acting. don't want to say anything else to avoid any spoilers! Return of the Obra Dinn-detective/puzzle. you move through time and memories on the once lost merchant ship Obra Dinn and uncover a wild and twisted story. super detailed, extremely addictive in my experience, really unique graphics. it's like an interactive comic book with the most satisfying reveals and discoveries. Honorable mentions: Strange Horticulture, Gris (all time fav platformer), Void Crew (more of a strategy game than a story game but fun to play with friends)
