write about anything that you have in your mind! it can be something that you're feeling and needing to say or even a rant about how much you love cheese. doesn't need to be profound or structured! glue personal memories, draw in it, make personal lists. it's a great way to practice expressing yourself while also being creative!!

I've been journaling lately, and it's been such a game-changer! It's super simple β just grab a notebook or even an app on your phone. The best part is, there's no right or wrong way to do it. You can write (draw) about anything that's on your mind, from daily happenings to random thoughts and feelings.

i have a little journal i use to write whatever i want in thereβΊοΈi think most of it can be boiled down to things that inspire me, but i put whatever i think to in there: quotes from what im reading, lists of things i like to think about or want to learn about. lists of names i like. lists of things i would like to do in minecraft. Great alternative to doomscrolling! just make lists. leaves me so much more fulfilled

i know it's basic but keeping a daily journal has been one of the most grounding things in my life. you don't need to shell out $$$ on a travelers' notebook and a snazzy pen, but just repeating the daily act of physically writing your thoughts down is a wonderful thing. i keep a daily recollection/diary sort of thing along with a sort of freeform commonplace book where i jot down thoughts or lyric ideas or cool words i read and had to look up definitions of. it's nerd shit but the sort of positive affirming nerd shit that everyone needs at least a little bit of. also the amount of stuff you forget over the course of a week/month/year is astounding -- doing this is fun in part because you can read through your past entries (good and bad) again with fresh eyes.

my favourite read in a while. it's a look on her thoughts about everything from life, time, death and lonelines to perfumes. her writing on this one might not be the easiest to understand due to the erratic aspect of it, but i think everyone should read at least one of her books in their life!!!! GO READ CLARICE
