I chose “most likely to skip graduation” and I was excited to get that committed to ink in a yearbook but then the yearbook committee switched things up and took away all superlatives?

i won class clown my senior year of high school. not to brag, but i do think i deserved the win. i take a lot of pride in my sense of humor. after they announced the superlative winners, my us government teacher said that i “didn’t seem like the class clown type” because i “wasn’t disruptive and never skipped class.” what the hell is that supposed to mean?! i guess class clowns get a bad rap in a lot of media. as many schools do, my high school had two winners for each superlative (one boy and one girl, traditionally). the guy who won class clown was an absolute scumbag. and that’s an understatement. he also wasn’t funny at all. i was very close to rescinding my win so i wouldn’t have to take a yearbook photo with him. but then i figured that i was better than him and deserved the win more. so i stayed 🙂‍↕️
