Bram Stoker’s Dracula in newsletter format, each journal entry is sent to your inbox on the same dates Jonathan Harker wrote them. I’ve only learned about it half way through the whole thing last year so I’m trying again and it’s been super fun to read the book like that. They started on May 3rd so there’s still time to catch up!

Substack that emails you the entirety of Bram Stoker’s Dracula in real time. since the novel is composed of diary entries, it sends you the diary entries day by day so you can read it on the same timeline in which it takes place. it started earlier this month but it’s not too late to catch up!! or you could wait until next may. classics can be intimidating but this gives you the opportunity to read it in daily segments in your email and follow along in an immersive way :)

I’m challenging myself to share a short recommendation every since day this year on a newsletter called “T-Recs”.This is partially inspired by Caveh Zahedi’s experiments such as “365 Stories I Want To Tell You Before We Both Die”, his bare-all public journal newsletter, and his latest, “365 Days Or However Long It Takes Before It Destroys All My Relationships”. Will this experiment drive me insane? Can I actually make a worthwhile rec every day? Will I make it the whole year? Is this going to reveal too much about me? I’m not sure, but we’ll find out I guess.Being inspired by Caveh seems dangerous. Hopefully it doesn’t ruin my life.

Current personal blog is linked. Updated monthly, at minimum, with a media roundup. Occasionally, some flash fiction gets posted or some photography. You can keep up with it the old fashioned way by visiting directly periodically. Or you could get an RSS reader and subscribe to the feed (also works on substack feeds). Or you can get it as a poorly formatted newsletter. But you can’t get it on substack!

Look, first and foremost, it’s normal to want to look cool. We all want to fit in, be accepted, be validated and feel like we belong, it’s a natural human thing. But the only way out is through. You have to accept and love yourself. You have to embrace your cringe, and your wonders, and your quirks. You have to learn to be proud of them. You have to validate yourself and understand that by choosing to be you, you will lose some things. Maybe some friends, maybe some validation. But you will get so much more. There’s nothing cooler than someone who is unafraid of being who they are. That’s the key, I guess. And it’s freaking hard, so it’s a process. Just start with the basics. Dress how you want to dress, look how you want to look, and experiment with it, see how you feel, face the rejection with open arms. Be cringe, but be authentic.
