god i am so bad at skateboarding but i continue to do it because it’s so dang fun. i’ve got several scars from eating shit and tons of stickers on my board that i’ve collected over the last 5 years. here’s to more falling on my ass!

Learning to skate as an adult has made me feel very sad, hurt my bones greatly, and has also been the best time of my life. I’m very close to ollie’ing for the first time as someone who is very tall, and i’m very glad i’ve worked through all the pain and fear so far with pochacco :)

i had a friend who would go to the rink every week and started learning how to skate backwards and twirl. i decided to follow her lead and try to go to the rink every week. i’m really bad and slow but it‘s so meditative and i’ve met some sweeties of all ages who have given me tips! i had my first fall today! it was so scary i had to leave the rink, but i’m hoping it gets less scary the more i do it. 🤓yay

somehow i went 21 years without utilizing this wonderful herb. so sweet. so yummy. i’ve been putting it in everything i make recently: pasta (especially good on gnocchi), eggs, toast, tofu, breakfast sandwiches, potatoes, anything you can think of! and it apparently improves memory! the perfect seasoning!!
