god this book is beautiful. somehow both a slow burn and constantly moving. i read love in the time of cholera more recently, which was very good, but there’s something so magical about 100 years and i just can’t recommend it enough

By Gabriel García Márquez. A magical realist novel that tells the history of a family in a small secluded Columbian town. It starts with the founding of the settlement and follows the growing town and expanding family over several generations— through comedic, tragic and often cyclical circumstances. It’s absurd and confusing and a pretty fun read so far (half way through).

this is genuinely the best breakfast recipe on the planet, i eat it at least once a week. heat butter in pan, throw in kimchi and fry for a small while, then crack in two eggs and fry (keep that yolk runny), then literally just add the kimchi and egg to some toast (or rice if you can be bothered to make some up) and top with sriracha and kewpie mayo, then some sesame seeds and white pepper. dangerously good.
