beer and weed help but that can be messy business when performing so make it easy and just don’t be the person on stage. I had a band and before we had to break up I played a lot in-front of very drunk and very cool people so I was very nervous but rock and nerves don’t go good together. I kinda made Buck for that he wasn't called that then but having some sort of separate character for performance helps. You don’t have to go all Ziggy with it Buck looks like me, dresses like me, sings my songs but he’s a lot more confident and energetic. why? How? Because he is.

Can I ask you a question? Are you going to the big gig tonight? Some of your favorite bands are playing. Some of your friends bands are playing. I heard there's gonna be an open bar at the big gig. I heard there's gonna be someone going around taking peoples portraits at the big gig. I heard that the big gig catered. Like 100% catered. Like it's a wedding. So if you're going to the big gig, maybe don't eat dinner before hand. I heard there's gonna be really clean drugs at the big gig. I just checked the event page on Facebook (remember FB? the people organizing the big gig do) and it looks like your favorite English teacher from High School will be at the big gig. Looking a little closer here and it also looks like that person you had a crush on in your favorite English teacher's class is going to be there. Don't worry. They didn't learn about the big gig from Facebook. They learned about the big gig from other cool and subcultural channels. Before/after the bands go up, the DJ will be playing some cool music at the big gig. The Strokes. The Tokes. The Hues. The Moody Blues. Muddy Water Band. Rachel and the Rachels. The Hydraulic Blues. The Plums. The Hughs. The Manila Experience. Oh and one more thing. There's kind of a catch. To get an invite to big, you must do one little thing. Just a tiny little thing barely worth mentioning. YOU MUST GIVE UP YOUR SOUL FOR ROCK AND ROLL.

this is ur sign to go to that small gig of that artist u don’t listen to but are interested in cause i saw buck meek last night and it has unironically changed my brain chemistry, such a beautiful show, the band chemistry was so wonderful to see and their stage presence is unmatched !! and i wouldn’t have known if i convinced myself that i had to know every song to see them. such a vibe, just swayed and got lost in the sounds 🥁🎟️

Any art you may practice, walk in some woodland or pasture make some poems, write a song, paint, even competition can be an art. Whatever fills your soul and give in all the way. when im alone during important or significant times I love being selfish with my time and immersing myself in craft, be selfish after all there is isn’t anyone around that could be offended.

I normally put on podcasts/audiobooks/albums that I’ve been putting off. Stuff like So Tonight That I Might See by Mazzy Star was recommended to me a bunch but I just never had time to listen to the whole record without being interrupted so when I drive 4ish hours home and back I put it on plus a bunch of other records. did the same thing with other audio media I’ve ment to grab but hadn’t yet I’m sure you’re already listening to music but going front to back on a album or book is a different vibe

This is coming from a guy that loves 60s and 70s rock and folk and owns like 100 something LPs. Get CDs instead, you can play them in cars, on stereo systems, and portable CD players. cleaner than tape with no warble or belts to worry about and easier to store than LPs, only downside is the art is small and usually no fun insert's. I’d only get your absolute favs on LP they are probably gonna be expensive (30-70 bucks compared to 5-30 for CDs) but having the big cover, often times lyric sheets or posters, and my favorite part the back cover you’ll NEVER see on steaming. Sound great and really make you feel like you own a substantial part of the music. make sure you have shelves deep and tall enough for records too if you buy them. media Trade stores are the best if you aren’t already looking there. TLDR: CDs for practicality LPs for gems
