my lovely mom always sends me a little Chocolate and my grandma sends cards for me and my siblings. i send texts to my friends (far) and have a nice dinner with my friends (near) on or around the day. when I have a partner, it’s a nice day to be a little extra cute, do something new and exciting or order takeout and hang out in our pajamas. when Im single, it’s a nice day to drink cocktails with friends or read a good book in bed, to be grateful for friendship and for the stronger relationship I’ve built with myself over the years. I am Always a fan of appreciation and connection— I am an anti-fan of stress and expectation.

My partner & I can’t afford to do anything or go anywhere this year for Valentine’s Day, but that doesn’t mean I can’t still spoil him; I drew us a portrait (referencing Klimt’s The Kiss), I made him a lil playlist of songs that remind me of us, & for dinner tonight I’m gonna be re-making the first meal I ever cooked for him (after we started dating).
& it doesn’t have to be for Valentine’s, or even a romantic partner—making anything for any loved one is just so special in & of itself, no matter the occasion. Show your love while we’re all still here.🖤

My roommate is a big scent person, as in, she takes a lot of pride and effort into smelling nice. And the love for it kinda got rubbed off on me, so now i have finally found a scent i'm anamoured with... Mojave Ghost byredo. ITS SO GOOD, it feels so me and im in love. Miss Fisher's murder mysteries is honestly one of the coziest, funniest and just all around most enjoyable show I have ever watched. Its about a private detective (miss fisher) who is a 'modern woman' in the 1920s in melbourne and is the strongest character i've seen portrayed. Sweet, smart and sharp she's got it all. She's accompanied by her two communist cabby drivers, her butler named mr butler who is a master in multiple fight maneuvers, her very sweet, very catholic companion Dot, a stealing orphan she takes in to become her ward, her best friend who is a lesbian doctor and ofcourse Jack Robinson the dashing detective she fights crimes with.
I got into it by watching it with my Oma while we both would be crocheting on the couch :)

aaaaaaaaa this painting just speaks to me, just the whole absurdist interconnected creation is honestly how ive been seeing life in the last couple months. Het idee dat alles interverwoven is en dat beide zacht en hard in mij samenleeft geeft gewoon heel veel geluk.
