They fkn slap so hard for anything! Got a pack of French rubber bands in Paris, so my girlfriend could re do my rat tails, three weeks into a three and a half month long overseas trip. (Yes we’re lesbians- yes we started organising this trip after being together for only two and a bit months- yes this is u-haulingish behaviour- and yes, we’re two months into this overseas trip and so far it’s been one of the greatest experiences of my life).
That lil pack of rubber bands has been used for…
• holding my two rat tails in place for 6 weeks
• keeping my loose medication pill packets in a plastic bag (closed by a blue rubber band)
• as a fun fidget toy for my restless brain #adhdrealness
• countless times they’ve been used to tie up food packets (cheese, meat, spinch etc.)
• my girlfriend tried to tie my left boob in one (sort of worked but then popped off)
• super good for making sure sandwiches stay together (when wrapped in some sort of outer layer Fr Fr no cap on gawd)
The small pack of rubber bands that cost £2.49 has slowly dwindled down and now there is 10ish rubber bands left. We started with the yellow ones cause they were ugly and now we have red, blue, and green left.
I love rubber bands they will now become apart of my “can’t go overseas without this thing” things.

I bought this roll of string in 2022 and I keep finding uses for it. I hung a stained glass biplane from my window with it. I made little loops in lieu of hooks for a new shower curtain when I didn’t want to go return to home depot. I have tied up countless gifts’ wrapping paper with it. I tied up a bunch of stacks of things when moving with it
honestly I don’t know how I would get on without string
