Perfect Days (2023) - will show you how to live
All of Us Strangers (2023) - had to take the next day off
C'mon C'mon (2021) - sobbed on an airplane
Blue Valentine (2010) - incredible acting
Brokeback Mountain (2005) - beautiful, beautiful movie
Enjoy!
Ok but fr..
If you liked Worst Person in the World then watch… Weekend (2011)
If you liked Eternal Sunshine then watch… Punch Drunk Love (2002)
If you liked Anatomy of a Fall (I haven’t seen it yet) then watch… Force Majeure (2014)
If you want to be moved, a James Ivory film is always reliable in that department. My favorites are Maurice 💔❤️🩹 (hugh grants floppy hair should have won best supporting actor) and Room With a View ❤️🔥 (Beauty! Joy! Love!)
Misc. movies that made me cry:
-Harold & Maude (1971) it’s a classic!
-Moonlight (2016) I mean cmon yeah
-Handmaiden (2016) always rocks my world
-Petite Maman (2021) you’ll want to give your mom a hug after
-Short Term 12 (2013) early Brie Larson and Lakeith Stanfield… underrated imo
-A Monster Calls (2016)… it’s a ya/kids movie but made my mom and I both sobbed in the theater lol
Like just sort of sad and heart wrenching but beautiful and maybe hopeful and sometimes a little funny and a little dumb, depending on your mood and your current situation.
-Blue Valentine
-Take This Waltz
-Small Apartments
To a lesser extent:
-Drinking Buddies
-Safety Not Guaranteed
You’ll def get over the person with time. For me personally, I’ll always love the people I was in love with at one point in time, it’s something that you’ll always carry. That person or those people were important in your life and development.
