ive heard some people say reading the time on a clock is lame but to me it’s so classy & like i’m back in 1890 (heart eyes 4 analog clocks)
plus the way they’re made, the thought behind making them work the beautiful architectural genius of it agh!

i love love love all the technical and societal innovation of the era. cameras, locomotives, bicycles, elevators (kind of), moving images, telephones, recorded sound, and many more of the technologies we still use today all started then.
also, i fucking LOVE impressionism - attached is my favourite painting, also from the time (1888). im a sucker for games like dishonored as well.
it wasn't the best time to be a labourer for sure, but still would be so interesting to explore if one could be well-off enough to not be abused by factory owners imo. i would love to travel back in time to the World Fair in Paris (1878 - side note, the fricking statue of liberty head was displayed here!!!, 1889).
just a year ago i got the opportunity to watch stereoscopic photos from the time in a giant wooden rotunda thing. so cool!

It’s my first day doing this so I wanted to share my favorite building ever with ya’ll!
This is Casa Batllo, built by Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona back in 1904. It’s got mosaics all along the facade, a super organic interior, gorgeous windows, it’s got it all!
My favorite part about this building is that there are very few straight lines inside, with all corners or edges being rounded off or plastered to look softer.

when everything feels lame and nothing sounds appealing its because i'm overthink the activity or i think it won't be that good. so if you do the first easy idea that comes to mind! you'll feel better and slowly get out of the slump!
examples:
eat something different and fun
take a walk? always lame but you WILL feel a 1000% better
read funny or romance no thought stuff
go thrifting not for cheap and funky trinkets!
being in a funk makes everything seem too much, so getting out of it should be kinda like stopping ur brain from being over-worked... atleast from my perspective!
