i've noticed i haven't really cared for my current lifestyle - there are much more enriching things i could be a part of, and today is the day i start. listed below are the ways i'm starting fresh, and i think they could possibly be beneficial to others :) to-do: -change your wallpaper (phone & laptop) -change your desktop favorites -create a solid morning routine -cut your hair -go clean shaven (if you've kept your goatee for years) -paint your nails -delete old playlists you've been meaning to and make new ones! -expand your discography -go to bed at a decent hour! (this is so hard for me) i'm new here to PI.FYI and i absolutely love it, can't wait to start fresh and include y'all in my routine >:)

* waking up early. i know this is possible i am Done starting my day so late. i want to wake up early, clear my mind, and read for 15-20 minutes (another habit i've been trying to build) * more walks. i am surrounded by a number of trails and parks i pass by daily but have not personally ventured yet * a new album every day! i love listening to new music it fills me with so much joy especially an album all the way through which i believe is the Right way to listen to new music * writing ... not entirely journaling i realize i am not consistent enough for that but noting down present thoughts lists doodles words i like in a tiny field notes ... (ex. list of things im grateful for that day, month/day/year - love the way this sweater feels on me, tweet i would like to share but can't at the time) (yes, this is all possible in the notes app but i want to shift from the notes app to field notes) * knitting!!! getting back into the groove of fiber arts for a couple of minutes every day. i think the trouble is trying to find the motivation for it but i have to remind myself the reasons why i do it to begin with: leaving something tangible behind, inspiring others, furthering my identity and interests tentative habits list, more will be added!

When i say everything can be different i mean it ! changing your bed‘s position can give you a sense of difference in your day to day life. So let’s go slowly and expand that with little resources : Home : -Changing your room from bed position to where the desk is - maybe even change the whole room with the other siblings/parents. -As an outfit repeater i always try to put a piece with a different one just to be able to create a new out. -Art is your friend, try to sketch, colorbooks, craft, crochet, etc… - Journaling with prompts, use tiktok and youtube to get prompts and start writing as much as you like - discover the internet, start searching new niche websites as a hobby, searching by itself is a hobby, use reddit to discover to world. - try new recipes with the ingredients you already have in the kitchen. - pinterest mood boards - reading books - get into movies, analyse the movie, rhe colorgrade, the technique etc.. - discover new music Outside : - try new roads - discover your city parks - register in a library - walk by the beach even if it’s cold - collect plants (either by taking pictures for a digital board or a physical one in your journal book) - watch the sunset with music on - try new drinks in your local coffeeshop - window shopping (you dont have money so what ? Just look at the items even try them, you like it ? Thats a motivation point to be able to save up for it for the next sale season etc..) - if you work or use your laptop to study, use the internet to make it more fun ( ex : search how you can navigate your mail box without using your mouse - search how you can write a whole email without touching the mouse - make your tables colorful - try a new style of writing - etc …) - after work/school, dont go straight home, walk a bit, discover anything “new” around you. - before school/work, try to wake up earlier, get pretty for yourself, skin care routine, shower a bit longer, make your fav breakfast, walk slow to ur destination.. - ask around if u can do any volunteer work in your city. - join a book club - join a craft club

i'm fairly new to adulthood - 19, full-time college student, part-time elementary teacher's aide - one of the things i've loved the most about my job was hearing about the student's interests, and it made me nostalgic for the interests i used to have. a few weeks ago, Xbox was having it's ~80%-off sale, and i noticed they had a few of my childhood games for like $8-$10, so now for the past few days, all i've been playing is LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. i just finished the main questline yesterday, and the whole thing was a blast. it really showed me how art such as that can affect people's lives, it was made with a lot of love, and that's apparent from the gameplay. it's also shown me how i've grown, where now i'm challenging myself to do something i never could - unlock each hero, but especially, unlock Deadpool.

a few days ago, i sat down and wrote out a specific morning routine for myself, in which the first thing i do is read an interview from The Creative Independent with a morning cup of coffee. they release a new interview every weekday, interviewing authors and artists from all over, who share their methods and creative process. i've found if i don't connect to the person they're interviewing, i can easily find one to read from their expansive collection. today's interview was with Kevin Barnes, who heads the band of Montreal. i found everything they said to be really insightful, and there was a lot to take away from their creative process. if you have the time, i really suggest you give it a read! before reading the interview, the only song of theirs that i knew was Wraith Pinned to the Mist and Other Games. if you're looking for something new to listen to, you should totally give it a try!

a few weeks ago, i bought my first pc from my friend, but for almost a year before that, i'd game with the laptop i use for college - but getting together a good group of friends and putting all of you in $10 games of chaotic quality has brought me an unreasonable amount of joy. the games i'd recommend are Lethal Company, Content Warning, LOCKDOWN Protocol, and even Phasmophobia if you're up for it. these games are definitely easy to get into, they were some of the first games i ever played on a computer!
