putting so many starface patches on your pimples and breakouts that you start to become a little scrapbook of self applied stickers…
no matter how minor, i am indeed hurting and i desperately deserve this little luxury to heal and cope with the little pains of everyday life…!
I usually go with the no name version of everything but at some point I realized that band-aid brand band-aids were superior to their downmarket peers. As someone who is constantly breaking in new docs their blister bandages are worth the splurge. Also an interesting case of “genericide“ where the product brand is so successful it enters the lexicon as the common term for the object
on my old car i used to have a bumper sticker that said “i hope you have a good day” on it. one day i came out of the grocery store and someone had left a note on my car on a sheet of paper from their notebook that said “i hope YOU have a good day!” i think about the person that went out of their way to leave that note a lot and hope that they know how sweet that was. i kept the note and put it in my junk journal/scrapbook and when i’m having a bad day i like to look at it.
