dates, parties, big trips, presentations. when I have something coming up that I'm anxious about, I try to reframe it in my head as something to look forward to instead of fear. Being a little nervous can prompt you to prepare for something, but it really works to realize that worrying not only does more harm than good -- it doesn't do any good at all. have faith in your ability, get excited about a new experience and let the adaptable and resilient future you handle the rest

I feel like some of the anxiety of going places by yourself comes from not having another person to help fill the space/time. Bring a journal! A book! A crossword puzzle! A game boy! If you are actively engaged with something you’re going to have less brain space to worry about feeling anxious and, as someone who worked in food service for many years, I promise it’s not weird!!

i'm always anxious during new years because i feel like i NEED to make a long list of things i want to achieve for the coming year. i just want to treat January 1st like a normal day, without feeling the pressure to achieve :)

I don’t even care, I should probably delete instagram anyway but honestly it’s where I hoard my junk drawer of photos. I’ve got an emotional attachment and a need for attention. Do I embarrass myself through posts, yes but I feel free in doing so.
