way more inclusive (and fun imo) than hanging out at a bar. plus, you don’t even have to be good at art or whatever! we’re just hangin out and doing crafts. it’s not that serious!!
had friends over - from work, from an art class, from childhood, friends-of-a-friend - for a craft night where everyone brings a craft of their choice to do. So so fun!! nice to have friends meet friends, chat together, laugh! guaranteed good time

get plugged into the goings on of your town or city
repeat local legends
become friendly with your favorite store’s employees
read in your local park
patronize your local artists
the way to plant roots is to stay in the same place for as long as possible! you don’t get that by driving out of town for every meal and beverage and thing you want
i stopped watching the H3 podcast and you know what i’m not going to do? replace it with another too long podcast.
