Life is magical

What if yesterday you read an essay you really liked about the traditional misunderstanding of the story of the Tower of Babel and, intrigued by its description of Pieter Bruegel’s 1563 painting ‘The Tower of Babel’ searched for a photo of the painting on your computer and looked at it for a while and thought for a while. ….. And what if today a friend visiting the city brought you a book they “thought you would like“ from a second-hand book shop and the book was a book on Pieter Bruegel the Elder … who you had become aware of only the day before but had spoken about this to no one ⊹˚. ♡.𖥔 ݁ ˖

Staring (very briefly) into a mainstream cultural abyss, observing, and retreating back into my lil goblin dungeon

In situations like these, I like to think of myself as a cultural anthropologist. I don’t think my sister is benefitting that much from my help (they all look the same!), but wow I’m learning so much about topics I’ll otherwise never experience (today, the wedding industrial complex and involved tailoring).
