I start reading and find myself naturally getting sleepy enough to go back to sleep within the hour. Itโ€™s a great distraction from any racing thoughts or anxiety, but in my experience it only truly works when I absolutely avoid looking at my phone screen. ๐Ÿ“ฑ โŒ

I know this is such an annoying answer but canโ€™t overstate how helpful this has been for me. the endless loop of stimulation of a phone hinders sleep SO much. Settling in for some soothing back and forth eye movement with a chill book is amazing. I also started putting rose oil on my wrists before bed and now my brain associates it with sleepy time. Lavender seems to be a more popular option, chamomile is probably great too.

a study issued last month found that dancing is the most effective way of treating and mitigating depression. Walking, therapy, and yoga also outpaced SSRIs. and if you're saying 'oh this was probably funded by Big Dance', there's no evidence of that and if you're saying 'that's just what a Big Dance shill would say', well honey you're right
