Henri-Georges Clouzot) - Passages (dir. Ira Sachs. maybe not a "fave" but a modern one and def interesting!!) - Une Femme est Une Femme (dir. Jean-Luc Godard. Only movie I've seen of his that I've liked lol my anti-rec is Breathless)

New french cinema

This past week I went to Film at Lincoln Centers Rendez-Vous with French Cinema and saw some amazing films. Contemporary French cinema is doing really amazing, creative things... It's so important to interact with media outside what you regularly interact with. If you liked Anatomy of a Fall, there's a chance you'll like some of other films that came out recently. My top 3 are: La Vénus d'argent, Un métier sérieux, and Le Règne animal.
