Asking for help

I planned on moving all by myself with a wagon, two dollies and a dream. But then I realized I can’t do it alone, sometimes it’s ok to ask for help, and believe that people around you and are always willing to lend a hand. All you need to do sometimes is ask, you are loved, I sure felt that way.

Sometimes it's very frustrating when I listen to people complain about someone and they're just not even trying to look at it from their point of view. It's true that in some cases the other person is just being stupid or mean, but there's something a bit insidious happening nowadays where people will just not even try to put themselves in another person's position. It's a little bit depressing how little you hear "maybe she's right" or "maybe I'm wrong"

Story of the eye by Georges Bataille

I bought it when I was visiting my little brother in Paris and it was really crazy. When you start reading it you think he's just trying to be extreme for the sake of it, of disgusting you for no reason but to provoke a reaction. Then after a while you get into it and it becomes beautifully poetic and it feels pure.
