I have a sub and peruse daily. Other than that just my fiction books and anything I pick and choose. I do wish tho I had a television to hear the news in the background that always helped me get more curious about things

Actually subscribing and reading newsletters. Iβve been trying to remove myself from traditional social media platforms and not give in to mindless games and be more meaningful in how I choose to use my devices. As a bibliophile I prefer to only download books as a last resort and prefer physical copies. Thus I was left confused with how to not slide back to instagram etc on my phone and decided to find substacks and other websites beyond mainstream media in my areas of interest to subscribe to and read.

Newspaper archives are great to look at random events and also see how people at the time reacted to them!! Maybe old magazines/films could be cool too?
There are also so many different blogs on Substack which look at different bits of history - like https://www.africanhistoryextra.com/?utm_source=global-search, https://florencehrs.substack.com/, and https://15thcfeminist.substack.com/. Definitely browse on Substack to see what's on offer and what style/topics interest you the most!
For more general blogs, https://publicdomainreview.org/ and https://daily.jstor.org/ look into quite niche topics.
Also the podcast 'The Rest is History' has done loads of episodes on many different topics! Have fun <33

i first came here with a guy to check out the Michael Jackson thriller house (i know a place). but fell in love with all of the Victorian houses on this historic street.
everytime ive Been there during the day itβs been raining and gloomy and so beautiful for a walk. if ur a fan of pretty doll house kind of houses check it out. + the lamps on the street are awesome and they still have parking for horses π±π
