it feels so good to flip through a stack of photos and point at them rather than swipe through looking for a good one part of it i think is that if you’re printing photos you’re forced to do the curation on the front end of the process. doesn’t matter how you print them. i got a little instax printer bc im a former tumblr girl but i also have a membership with mootsh that gives you a little monthly set of prints plus a contact sheet that help me stay on top of capturin and curating memories through the year.

i found a box of my parent’s photos from when they first started dating to their wedding and around when i was born and made me realize: 1. there is so much more life to live!! and i hope i can look back on my 20’s with the same fondness they do 2. how nice it is to have physical photos - i never go through my camera roll but i love revisiting old journals or scrapbooks and i think printing photos would have the same effect. i find that the phone camera effect almost makes taking pictures feel more disposable or practical rather than artistic (for me personally, ik a lot of people who have really nice camera rolls on their phones) so maybe getting a camera or just thinking about memory capture differently would aim me in this direction

At the end of each year I select ~100 photos from the 2000+ I took that year, print them and put them in a box. When friends come over I give them the box to flick through while I make coffee/drinks/get a snack. It's a nice way of sharing the moments that mattered to you.

Use one of those sites to print out all the photos you took on your most recent vacation or trip with friends. You will never not enjoying looking through the book

listen i got bit by the bug back in college when naked juice got in trouble for mislabeling their ingredients and i got a check for $2. but in the past year or so i’ve made $300 EACH from cases against zoom, tiktok, and t-mobile in which they misled consumers or misused our data. this is the last vestige of justice out there. companies are evil and they should be paying for it and they should be paying me!! at this point in my career i get targeted ads for these things because i actually click through the links but i can share some of the firms in the comments if you’re interested 👀
