John Casey is a cute old Irish man who makes rubber stamps in the East Village (since the 70s I think). His shop is really small and there are hundreds of stamps to choose from, they also make custom stamps if you have something specific in mind. I went yesterday with will to get stamps for our wedding, and it was so much fun to browse through the collection <3

This is the perfect rubber store, a real no bs kinda place. There is definitely some real New York gangster shit going on here but everyone is so nice to me. I bought this fabric lined foam for $9 a yard and some neoprene Iā€™m happy love this store

I am getting very sick of entering a shop that says itā€™s filled with ā€œartist-made goodsā€ and its floor to ceiling baggu. I have a couple baggu pieces, but when I go into a store IRL or online that labels itself as a trinket trove in one way or another, I want to see real honest to god trinkets, gizmos, and doodads. Iā€™ve been collecting stickers lately, particularly vintage ones on eBay and weird artist made stickers. Gatoshop really helps me get my fix and add to my collection. A studio run out of Mexico City, InĆØs Estrada and her team curate a lovely collection of local and international stationary, zines, keychains and other artist made gifts. They have some fun vintage toys and trinkets too and are always updating the website. check them out!
