Im only a casual Charlie Brown fan, ive flipped thru a few comic strips & only seen the holiday specials. i randomly put this on while i drove w my gf late on new years eve. everyone was inside celebrating so the roads were empty & quiet besides some firework.
I didn’t expect this movie give me the same warm hug, nostalgic feeling as the originals. Then i find out it’s a tribute to schulz, written & produced by his son & grandson!! many bang on references to different scenes in peanut history: which i didn’t always catch but my gf did :) lots of love in the writing, animation, & voiceover..it’s just A feel good movie w plenty of wholesome moments i maybe teared up at (which is my favorite thing to do when I watch movies (& i do it a lot)) what can i say im Charmed!! overall great way to end the year we’ve already watched it a second time before bed to keep the calm& sweet energy flowing in the new year… a peanuts film series marathon is in order for me now
Tldr Charlie Brown learns that being a winner means always being himself despite life conspiring against him. Snoopy saves his love in a WW2 fighter plane

Both are just such major comfort movies that make me feel like it’s fall again and the weather is delightful and I’ve got popcorn maybe even tacky little $5 bat shaped string lights and I’m burning incense mad cozy good vibes
Coraline first cause duhhhh and paranorman follows to really bring the ball home as far as setting a halloween vibe
Honestly it’s the perfect start to October season

It's simply a perfect film. Beautiful cinematography, equal amounts of moody atmosphere with bright joy and childlike wonder of the world around us. It's about the family you have and the family you earn and keep in your heart. It's also a Halloween movie, technically, since they do go trick or treating, so this is a perfect fit for your "cozy autumn" movie lists. Did I mention It's scored by John Williams? AND! And it features the best, most beautiful hug in cinema history. So yeah. It's on of my favorites.

there’s something quite melancholy and cathartic about it, like wow, I’m old enough and I’ve been living in this neighborhood long enough to start to be recognized as a familiar face. i love that i can walk into my favorite coffee shop and be greeted as a friend, by baristas who know exactly my coffee particularities but don’t frown if i want something different from my usual order. it feels especially comforting on days i miss home and feel kind of alone, kind of afraid of being an adult. being a regular is feeling seen and known even by relative strangers, with whom you can connect over a comforting drink or meal! this is just one of the ways i love to cultivate a sense of home and community in my coming-of-age years— it’s so grounding to experience familiarity especially when you’re adjusting to living alone, recently moved to a new city, or otherwise needing to feel settled during tumultuous times!

idk about you all but the second i get home i will be putting sweats or lounge clothes on. these clothes only see the indoors and are never exposed to the Outside City. god forbid my jeans or slacks touch my clean cozy bed!! let alone shoes... might be the asian grandmother influencing me but i find it a terrible crime to wear shoes in the house. a pair of slippers is much more comfortable! i find changing into a cozier outfit provides a wonderful mental transition into the coziness/safety of home PLUS it makes me feel extra put together, stylish, and focused when i'm goin out!! effectively switches my brain between work mode and relaxed mode.
