dunno why they tried to export the inbetweeners by giving it an american reboot when the show is so intrinsically british in its humor but the end result was a complete dumpster fire (unsurprisingly).
some shows that werenโt remade (amen ๐๐พ๐๐พ) but still deserve to be spotlighted in this post are: people just do nothing (cannot recommended more), chewing gum, this country, and misfits. all hilarious imo, comedy television is like one of the only things weโre doing right.

there was this sitcom that only got one season called Reboot and i thought it was the best new sitcom i'd seen in YEARS. ironically it's about a rebooted show fighting not to get cancelled but the cast was insane. one's you might already know that i like are Abott Elementary, New Girl, Spaced

Randomly one of the all-time greatest TV shows. British humor (but fish out of water, set in LA) + Matt LeBlanc playing himself. Lucky you if you have Showtime or Paramount+ for whatever reason...

Even though Peep Show always winds up on lists of the best TV comedies of all time it's still strangely underappreciated and not nearly as well known on this side of the Atlantic as it should be. David Mitchell and Robert Webb are comedic geniuses and raise cringe to a legitimate art form. Plus it's created and co-written by Jesse Armstrong, who later went on to make Succession, so it's better than anything else for filling any Succession-shaped holes in your life even though it's a completely different kind of show.

was so so sad last night and found myself at the movies. started sobbing the moment i sat in the chair for reasons entirely unrelated to the film (although it was very sad). kind of relished in it though bc the cinema unlike buses/trains/cafes is like the only public space where you wont be scorned for crying. its the only acceptable place outside of the comfort of your home for you to sit down and have a good wail because everyone will think ur crying about the movie and no one will judge u.

a punk rock road movie by gregg araki about a couple that pick up a drifter. weirdness and chaos ensue. impeccable soundtrack and the costuming was waaaay ahead of its time. its like challengers on crack. one of my favourite flicks and was my teenage gateway into cool girl underground films. be warned though it gets pretty violent at times!
