Video games have really interesting and cool stories and fun ways of telling them. When I was a kid I wasn’t very good at video games but my older brother was. I remember how fun it was just to sit and watch him barrel through levels. When he left I missed doing that so I tried to watch let’s plays on youtube, but they just weren’t really for me. Even as a kid I just didn’t really love the constant like screaming and stuff that they tend to do while playing, there were some guys who didn’t talk a lot or yell while they played but not a lot, so over the years this was something I just never did anymore. But recently I’ve found there has been a spike in comepletely silent playthroughs getting uploaded and I love to watch them, they’re like oddly paced movies with tons of action. The ones I’ve been really into watching lately are the SilentHill and Psychonaut games it’s a lot of fun and really nostalgic so check ‘em out (also the soundtracks always go hard asl)

It’s so soothing. The soft clacks of the controller buttons. I’m watching my bf play Elden ring atm, but I enjoyed watching my housemate play RD2 and growing up I watched my dad play desktop computer games and then my sister play RPGs on the PlayStation. Feel like a kid and watch someone play.

Well thought-out analysis into the deeper meanings of some of our all time favorite games, and what makes them so appealing and, at times, so draining to play through. My favorite so far has been “The Unmistakeable Humanity of The Last of Us Part II”. If you haven’t seen it yet I highly suggest you do, even if you’ve never played the games nor intend to.

Seeing someone play a game you love for the first time is always so fun, especially when it’s a game that encourages different playstyles and builds. Observing how someone else thinks about a game differently and problem solves in a completely separate path from you is awesome and reminds you how unique every single person is. Thinking about this because I‘m watching a streamer I follow start Bloodborne and reminiscing on my experience.

Sometimes you just need one. I get a crazy craving for one every once in a while and I literally can’t stop thinking about it until I make one myself or go and get one. The thought of a banana split consumes me.
