doing something you hate because your friends love it (and your love for them outweighs your hate for that thing)

very sorry to confess one of my most unpleasant traits, which is my distaste for the beach... every summer i am reminded that it is not for me because i hate to swim and i hate the sun and i hate wearing a bathing suit and i hate how the sand sticks to my legs but i go anyway because i love seeing my friends happy more than i hate any of these things!!
