I recently got one for my bday and now every time I bake I feel like Betty Crocker. It also has my name on it so I’m p sure that gives me extra credentials.
Side note: Always thought her name was Betty Crocket. I learned smth new today x

I have come to really appreciate my name. it’s not terribly hard but not super familiar in the u.s.
I work in food service. I was sort of recently given a short nickname that stuck. I don’t mind it, first nickname that ppl actually use. Now I offer it to customers if they ask my name. Idk why it feels vulnerable to give ppl my real name. I feel like I’m protecting a part of myself from strangers by offering the nickname. unnecessary but I am growing fond of it. Now my name feels more intimate. To be used by ppl who know me. By ppl I trust.

I go by they/she and I guess my mother had the bright idea to remember to use they more often by literally seeing me hold this mug that says THEY [super smash bros announcer voice] on both sides.

my name is Lauren and growing up I liked having a name that didn’t end in A like so many other popular girls’ names at the time, but I also felt like it was dull lol
Nowadays sometimes I forget my name is Lauren bc I’m around my kids all the time who call me mama, and my husband rarely uses my name because I’m the only other adult in our house and it’s always abundantly clear when he’s talking to me (so he doesn’t need to use my name to get my attention). Whenever a friend uses it on a phonecall or something I sometimes get butterflies because I just never hear it lmao 😅
(sometimes on forums i go by Elle or Ellie tho)

Nightlife is an entire subculture that i feel disconnected from at times. i always have fun when i go out. meeting so many interesting ppl i never would’ve met otherwise. i should do it more and so should u 🫵🏽
