My favorite speed card game. I have the classic red and yellow tin box. I bring it around with me in my bag sometimes. My friends hate playing with me because I'll win. My other friend loves Bananagrams and always wants to be indulged in a game or two. I think it's cool how so many people have mastered some kind of mostly-useless quirk.

Card game (sort of?), family friendly (non-vulgar), could start a war (delightfully competitive / brings out the best or worst in people). Fits into your bra or shoe. Take it anywhere and everywhere, first dates included.

spot it - fantastic card matching game. seems childish, but gets violently competitive. minimum 2 players but you can also play with more. rummikub - if you’re familiar with rummy, it’s quite similar. a fun numbers game that forces you to think outside of the box and eventually impress the hell out of someone. if you don’t like to think, however, and you prefer games that require no skill and are solely based on chance, you will hate this game.

I'm very likely going to be showcasing work in my first exhibition this year. Hopefully I'll get to show some paintings in the gallery space before I graduate and go corporate. Excited, although procrastinating, but happy I can have this kind of chance.

The kind with leaves falling down trees and a kaleidoscope of colors, preferably. I grew up in the Midwest and experienced the seasons regularly, but moved to California as a teenager and forgot all about the beauty of autumns. Now that I'm back living in a place where there's seasons, I find myself appreciating them in a gentle way. I feel like I haven't seen all these different shapes of nature in a while, I feel childish again and I like feeling the cold wind against my skin.
